TEETH-IN-ONE-DAY
PERIODONTAL SERVICES
Periodontal services involves both scaling and root planing, meaning tartar must be removed from deep between the teeth and gums. The hygienist will remove tartar build up from in between your teeth and gums down the entire length of each tooth, stopping where the gum, root and bone meet.
ORAL SURGERY
The most common type of oral surgery is tooth extraction (tooth removal). An extraction might be recommended if you have severe tooth decay, gum disease (periodontitis), dental trauma or wisdom teeth complications. Sometimes tooth extractions are performed to prepare you for dentures or other prosthetic devices.
COSMETIC DENTISTRY
Cosmetic dentistry is a method of professional oral care that focuses on improving the appearance of your teeth. And although cosmetic dentistry procedures are usually elective rather than essential, some treatment cases also provide restorative benefits.
ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth instead of removing it. The term "root canal" comes from cleaning of the canals inside a tooth's root.
ORTHODONTICS
Orthodontics is a dentistry specialty that addresses the diagnosis, prevention, management, and correction of mal-positioned teeth and jaws, and misaligned bite patterns.
CROWNS AND BRIDGES
Dental crowns and bridges are very common procedures performed in the dental office. Their general purpose is to restore a tooth or teeth back to full chewing function.
DENTURES
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. Two types of dentures are available -- complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
TEETH WHITENING
Teeth Whitening is a non-invasive procedure that restores the natural color of your teeth. We can recommend several teeth whitening techniques based on the needs of our patients.
SLEEP APNEA
If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea or are having trouble sleeping due to snoring, you may be a candidate for a dental appliance. Dental appliances are recommended by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine as a solution for those who are intolerant of the CPAP machine.
VENEERS
Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.
SEDATION DENTISTRY
Sedation dentistry uses medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. It's sometimes referred to as "sleep dentistry," although that's not entirely accurate. Patients are usually awake with the exception of those who are under general anesthesia.
PROFESSIONAL TEETH CLEANINGS AND COMPLETE CHECK-UPS
Professional cleanings remove tartar from the teeth, which is often missed by brushing and flossing. If this hardened plaque isn’t removed, it can lead to decay, infections, and gum disease. We recommend you schedule check-ups twice a year to help remove built-up plaque and tartar and to stay ahead of any developing oral health problems.
WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL
Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth — the four permanent adult teeth located at the back corners of your mouth on the top and bottom.
MOUTH GUARDS
Mouth guards are coverings worn over teeth, and often used to protect teeth from injury from teeth grinding while sleeping and during sports.
GENERAL DENTISTRY
The staff has been blessed to provide the people of Calumet City, the surrounding areas, Chicago, and Northwest Indiana with charitable dentistry.
